Elm, a pioneer in digital solutions, took part in the first “Digital Day" organized by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) recently at its headquarters in Jeddah, with the participation of representatives from the United Nations, the World Bank, a few international institutions, and government and private entities from member countries.
Eng. Hakim Al-Rasheed, General Manager of International Services at Elm, delivered a keynote speech in which he highlighted Saudi Arabia's experience in leveraging digital transformation to advance sustainable development. He emphasized Elm's contribution to supporting both national and regional efforts through its innovative digital solutions.
Al-Rasheed noted that Elm is today one of the leading players in the Kingdom's digital ecosystem, managing more than 170 major projects and serving over 30 million users. He also pointed out that Elm has contributed to the Kingdom's advancement by 46 places over the past six years in the United Nations E-Government Development Index, reflecting its role in driving tangible progress in government services.
He further explained that the impact of Elm's solutions extends across economic, social, and operational aspects, noting that the company's contributions include generating economic value worth billions of riyals, saving hundreds of millions of work hours, enhancing operational efficiency, and enabling millions of beneficiaries to access digital services with greater reliability and efficiency.
It is worth noting that the IsDB Digital Day was held as a platform that brought together policymakers and international experts to discuss digital initiatives and exchange experiences on accelerating digital transformation and fostering cooperation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across member countries and beyond.
