Memorandum of Understanding between Elm, Yesser and Alwaleed Philanthropies

In a step to support the deaf, Elm has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the e-government program "Yesser" and Alwaleed Philanthropies, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The agreement aims to provide “Eshara” service for the customers of "Amer" Center in "Yesser" program. Also, it aims to unify the common efforts of joint government entities to better serve their customers.

The agreement was signed by the Vice President of the Digital Outsourcing sector at Elm, Mr. Faisal Nayef Alakshan, Eng. Hisham Alsheikh from the e-Government Program “Yesser”, and the Executive Director of National Initiatives at Alwaleed Philanthropies Ms. Amal bint Omar Alkathiri.

Mr. Majid bin Saad Alarifi, the spokesman and Vice President of the Marketing sector at Elm, highlighted the role of this agreement in promoting the sign language interpretation services, as well as providing high quality services to the deaf beneficiaries in the public and private organizations. He added that Elm launched ‘’Eshara’’ to serve the deaf in the kingdom and region.’’Eshara’’ is an interactive video platform that guarantees quality of service and live communication, with the notification feature to inform the beneficiary of the available locations that provide the service. Alarifi stressed the privacy of Eshara that uses unique techniques to identify the gender of the beneficiary and transfer the call to an interpreter that matches the beneficiary gender.

For her part, the Executive Director at Alwaleed Philanthropies, Ms. Amal bint Omar Alkathiri, expressed her entity’s commitment to make use of this partnership in order to serve the deaf through ‘’Eshara’’ that was developed by Elm. The Director General of the e-Government Program "Yesser", Eng. Ali Alasiri pointed out the positive contribution of ‘’Yesser’’ to the e-government in the Kingdom, where ‘’Yesser’’ provides a center that responds to the beneficiaries needs and make them aware of the e-services provided by government organizations.
